Taxes Appellate Tribunal Jobs Circular 2023 Published. The Customs, Excise and VAT Appellate Tribunal established under the Department of Internal Resources of the Ministry of Finance is an independent body governed by the Customs Act, the accompanying rules of the Value Added Tax Act and its own rules. The Appellate Tribunal consists of technical members and judicial members to exercise the delegated powers and responsibilities. Each dual bench consists of a technical member and a judicial member who jointly deliver judgments. According to the organizational structure, there are 04 dual benches of the Tribunal. Among them 04 benches have been constituted and judicial proceedings are ongoing. The Appellate Tribunal is deemed to be a civil court under the Criminal Procedure Code, Government Act. Any aggrieved person; Aggrieved by any decision or order of the Commissioner or any Value Added Tax Officer or Customs Officer under the Customs Act or the Value Added Tax Act, an appeal may be filed against the said decision or order. An appeal has to be filed in the Tribunal within 03 (three) months of any decision or order being passed or the order being issued. A case was filed in the High Court Division of the Hon’ble Supreme Court against the judgment of the Tribunal. The ministry has published the recruitment circular for the proper management of these activities.
Taxes Appellate Tribunal invites applications from interested candidates for direct recruitment of permanent posts in revenue sector. Published the recruitment circular on 25th February 2023. A total of 10 vacancies will be filled in Taxes Appellate Tribunal. Only citizens of Bangladesh can apply for self-employed posts.
